A Juneau man died after being thrown into Windfall Lake when his skiff hit an unknown object in the water, according to an Alaska State Troopers report.
The U.S. Coast Guard reported an overboard boater to Ketchikan Troopers dispatch at about 11:45 p.m. Friday.
Investigation revealed 28-year-old Jacob Lewis of Juneau had been thrown overboard into Windfall Lake, located north of Juneau out the road. About 7 a.m., Lewis’ body was located by his friends, who had searched for him after he fell into the water.
